Our Thermocutter Blades & Adaptors
Choose the Hot Knife blade to suit the purpose. These Hot Knife blades are designed so that heat is concentrated along the cutting edge in order to achieve the optimum cutting temperature. Prior to insertion in the material to be cut, the temperature of the blades will be between 100°C and 800°C, depending on the type of blade and the thermocutter used. The temperature to the blade cools down as it enters the material. The temperature depends on the thermal properties and heat conductivity of the material being cut and determines the cutting speed. The cutting edge is evenly heated because of the design of the blade's cutting flanges.
Blades with "SS" as part of their Model Number represent Stainless Steel Blades.
Note that some blades are only for use with the Zetz-24 (aka ZTS 24) and 25 (aka ZTS 25) Hot Knife Thermocutters.

Model T08
Gives a clean cut which allows seamless joining of material in subsequent sealing or gluing operations. With evenly heated cutting edge and thick blade From 50 mm cutting length upwards. Suitable for thermoplastics with low melting points such as foam polyethylene, polystyrene, polyurethane. Roof and wall insulation boards up to 120 mm thickness. No gap, no cold bridge. Model DT
Blades for cutting insulating material. Thick blade for controlled cutting, with constant temperature along the cutting edge. Blades available in 7 lengths, should be chosen according to thickness of material. For a length of more than 100 mm, use only on ZETZ-24/25 Hot Knife.
--Roof and wall insulation boards up to 200 mm thickness made of PE, PS, PU.
--Quick and neat joining and fitting of insulation boards. Cutting time for 1 m long, 150 thick insulation board is 8 seconds.
